Thread: 97-03 light lens for lights by seatbelts

I dont know if coupes are different or not, but thanks to whatever cute faggot at GM thought it'd be funny to make such a f'ing nightmarishly fragile/intentionally convoluted mess for changing these bulbs out can die in a fire. Thanks to his brilliant engineering idea of making the lenses held on by a hair thick piece of the most fragile abs plastic ive ever seen, I now need a new housing AND lens. Oh, and those faggoty little aluminum pieces that the housing screws into, I need one of those as one of them fell as soon as it was no longer anchored by the screw and is now residing somewhere between the interior plastic trim of my B pillar and the car's sheet metal.



I seriously pray that terrible things happen to the families of whoever thought this up and implemented it.

I also started trying to take the map light housing off, as per the youtube video, and heard another piece of that garbage ABS plastic break, so i stopped. It is infuriating how cheaply made parts of these cars are.

old plastic=brittle

as thin as the piece was, I doubt it was ever anything but brittle. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's about as thin as angel hair pasta noodles (dehydrated)
