Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a GXP's front bumper fit a 04 GTP? This is the bumper cover I'm talking about. VVV

I'll point out it's the 08 GXP style going to the 04 GTP style. Looks like the diagrams line up, just wondering if anyone has seen/heard of this being done?

Fivefinger is incorrect. I done this to mine. I swapped the gtp bumper to a gxp bumper. If I remember correctly all you have to do is just drill a hole on each side to bolt it to the fender. The rest bolts up just fine.

Other than that, everything lines up perfect? Or do I need to buy more than just the cover?

Sorry for the late response...yes everything lines up perfect. I will highly recommend a GM take off bumper though because any aftermarket bumper wont line up perfectly. Spend the money on an actual GXP bumper and everything will be fine.

I know this is an old thread, but im going to be restoring a comp g that's totalled and I might just go with the GXP bumper.. what did you do as far as the signal and fog lights. did you just use the original GTP harness and then wired it into the GXP fogs and signals or did you do something else?

My fogs are hooked up to an HID and are turned on with my headlights. The blinkers, I used the original harness. Originally my car only had the one bulb blinker housing.

Oh! So you just tied the fogs into your low beams? This maybe a dumb question, but does all the GXP's have the same style of bumper? I'm on Car-Part.com and I can only find an 04 GXP bumper, its black like my car so I don't need to get it painted so this is why I'm steering towards this bumper. Saving $$ cause insurance didn't pay me out really good on my GTP.

Go OEM, GM take off. A GXP will be hard to find at a cheap price, I got lucky and found a GM takeoff for a pretty good price. And yes I tied my fogs into the headlights. I run all hids which makes it easier to tie into.

Yeah, I called these guys selling the bumper. Turns out it's not a GXP bumper... Retards! If I come across one, I'm buying it. The lip for these bumpers are going to cost me $400+ from PFYC... Garbage price. So if I buy the original bumper it'll be $300+$150 for paint and $450 roughly for the lip shipped to my door.. $900 bumper.

That shipping seems high as ****. I had a box that was 6 feet wide by 8 feet long and 8 feet high shipped to me last year and it only costs 150 in shipping.

I personally shipped out a pfyc lip to someone and it costed me close to $200. They claimed it as a "balloon package" which jacked the price way up.

"SHIPPING NOTE: The air dam is expensive to ship. To calculate shipping costs, click Add to Cart and use the Quick Shipping Estimate tool in the cart. Yes, it will be well over $100 and in some cases approach $200. While shipping weight is about 10 lbs or so, it is large and shipping companies charge what is called Dimensional Weight because it takes up so much room. Usually you can have the full Appearance Package or at least a Hood shipped with it for the same price. Yes, we have looked high and low for other shipping options as our profit on this piece is on the part price, not on the shipping and we’re well aware that we would sell more air dams if the shipping costs were lower. If it were up to us, they would ship for free but we do not have that luxury. If you’re interested in checking shipping costs on your own, make sure you enter the dimensions when calculating shipping costs. They are 70x32x12. Your best option is to purchase the Appearance Package or a Hood with it."

^^^ That's on the product info for the lip. To be totally honest, it seems like they just want to sell more of their products since they say that a person can just go toss another $700+ on something they don't want or cant afford like its nothing. I'd like the hood cause its the only thing you can practically get for the car, but I'm on a budget and cant pay another $700+ for JUST the hood, let alone paying a body shop to fit it, prep it and then paint it. That in it self will be $300-$400 for JUST the hood, I have a fender and the rest of the bumper to worry about... And that's US, so I'll be paying even more than their listed price because of our dollar being lower than the US. That's another kick in the balls for me.
