    You can put the halogen bulbs back in if you wanted. Your options are to deal with turning them off every time or lookup one of the "how to" threads to disable the DRL.

    Mostly it doesn't work because iirc the DRL lights use a pulsed voltage which run the lights at about half power. Enough to be visible in the daytime, this isn't enough for the HIDs to fire sometimes which is what your seeing. It also can be because of poor quality ballasts and bulbs.
