I really want to buy some new headlights for my car, i really want some nice halos, but i just want something that is quality, i dont quite have the money or desire to spend $300+ on retrofits, so id like to spend somewhere around $150 or so on new ones, with a warranty... but i cant seem to find any brand that is reputable, everyone says spyder sucks and i forgot the other brand... i was looking at these in the link below and i love the look of them, but i want to know how is the output? and how is the fitment/beam pattern? no matter what lights i do get, i will be resealing them whether theyre brand new or not so i can at least have piece of mind that theyre good to go and wont leak at all.... i just want to know what the best, aftermarket headlight is with halos....

Every aftermarket headlight I've seen (styled like the Spyder brand with halos) have had worse than stock output, both when using halogens or HID's. In my opinion they just aren't worth the money. If they had a better beam pattern it would be a different story.

Other aftermarket brand headlights with the Spyder design (IPCW for example) are literally the same headlight rebranded, only one company manufactures them.

I'd either save up for a retrofit (DIY or done by a member on the forums) or just live with the stock headlights, the Spyder's are a downgrade if anything.
For thine is the Cam, The Piston, and The Rod, Forever and ever (or until they break). Amen.

I got these projectors and let me just say that even though the beams are crossed and not leveled properly (they can be adjusted, I have yet to do it though) they have waaaay better light output than the stockers did. I do have hids in mine which might be cheating but I can see everything now.

You can build a budget retro for 150 bucks in parts easily and still blow away any of those ****ty aftermarket lamps.

And you won't be a ricer blinding people with HIDs.

I have the Spyder projectors and I love the look of the one piece housing. The light output is better than stock with halogens. I have a little bounce but I was able to correct most of the bounce using trunk bulb seal molding I grabbed from the junkyard under the housing. The beam crossing is not as terrible as some say. I also slotted the mounting holes to get a little more adjustment. I'm upgrading to HIDs soon. Looking forward to the extra light output.

I had the spyders when they first came out. I had them for about a year. The bouncing drove me crazy. They still bounced even after implementing all the so called fixes. The beams crossed. The quality was questionable as mine yellowed with a few months. I had to fight with the seller to get a replacement set. HIDs in them were a better upgrade than the halogen bulbs that come in them. The fitment wasn't all that great either. They left weird gaps that didn't look right. I also had to modify the brackets a little with some spacers to allow the headlamps to be adjusted up more. Without the spacer the light was aimed at the ground.

I ended up going back to stock lights which look much better. If you really have your hear set out on one of these then the spyders would be the way to go. They use an H1 bulb while the others use an H3 bulb which is meant for a fog light. I would definitely recommend stock everytime or retros.

Good luck with what ever you decide.
