What kind of modification would it take to make the the reverse lights blink along with the other lights when you put your hazards on?

I'd just solder a jumper wire from the positive lead on the brake lights to the reverse lights, with a diode in line to only allow the current to travel from the brakes to the reverse lights, otherwise the brakes will come on with the reverse lights.
For thine is the Cam, The Piston, and The Rod, Forever and ever (or until they break). Amen.

I would check with your local laws on rear-ward lighting. Rear facing white lights are not cool to people driving behind you; makes for confusion, which = accident.

And if you use the above method, you will have flashing white lights, which is even more confusing. LOL

Then when I use the brakes my reverse lights would be on, not good when waiting in traffic.

    You got it.

You could wire it this way, but put a switch on it so you have full control. Might be able to access the wires at BCM?
