Since I come from the 4th gen Camaro world mostly, there's something known to me as a "whistler" mod. Basically you take the face lens off the headlights, and paint all but the actual reflective surface whatever color you'd like to. Has that been done around the Gp world? I plan on doing it with a spare set of headlights, if i can come by some for a reasonable price.

    Something like this

Yea but you're better off getting retrofits customized the way you want.

Yeah and they have a smaller reflector. I warn those to make their own painted headlights to mimic the look to retain some useable light.

Here's mine with painted OEM GM headlights that I did a few years ago.

Here's what the 04+ headlights look when the inside is painted, Classy Pontiac made them for me.

HID lows, wired to flip up the cutoff shield when the halogen highs are activated, essentially giving me quad high beams.

Yes, I've always done black, but that's the general idea. The car just need more accenting. I am interested in these retrofits, where might I learn more about those? Assuming that's what icemans are?

Look in the how-to section or a member makes them and there's a thread at the top of the for sale section for those
