I went to this local muffler shop for magnaflow mufflers on my 3800 v6 GT and the owner told me IMCO MUFFLER is exactly the same as Magnaflow and saved me $60 is this true

IMCO mufflers are coming up with the same guys running flowmasters religiously. however, i'm not going to google my whole day away for you. your turn.

that being said they probably make a bunch of different kinds of mufflers. do your research and don't run something that's going to drone or be really loud because those are the two pitfalls of the 3800: loud, terrible sounding exhaust.

Not going to get a rumble from a 3800. You can however remove the stock resonator and replace it with the longest glasspack you can find and leave the stock mufflers in place. Should up the sound w/o it sounding like junk. If you really want that V8 rumble, sell the GT find a GXP.

What you can get from a 3800 is rasp and drone.

Feel free to search around on people that have done it and vid clips
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

No. You get beast mode from RWD V8........

But it's your car, so do with it what you will.

Then it won't be bad. thats your best option. I didn't know my catback for my 3800 camaro didn't have a resonator. Was going to fix it the next week and then bad things happened. But it will be fixed before I drive it any amount of time again.

its what i have. regals use a longer res, so after measuring it, i got a 32 inch glass pack. i cut the inlet tube off and welded a flange to the end so it could still unbolt like it should.

im on a single muffler set up, regals ya know, sd headers, a 3.4 no cat currently, that glass pack and a stock muffler. i do like it quiet so im happy.

you would hear this so called drone when light on the gas cruising on down the road. mine is drone and rasp free,,,,rasp is that crap sound out the pipes like a raspberry
