The difference is a 100k+ exotic.. Can pull it off and I can guarantee you the hinge set up cost more then a $1000 and they have the power as well as the style to pull it off.

so he paid nearly 1500$ to lose two fingers less than 6 months later

go for it....or put that 1500$ into some maint/repairs or a trans rebuild fund

ouch! I guess he didn't have the proper kits that have two struts per door, one for a back up. poor guy :/

he did. the problem is that the two is needed for heavy doors...because they split the weight...when one failed the other couldn't hold the door and it slammed closed.

if they did make a double strut design where each strut would hold the door open by itself youd have to pull downward on the door with 100+lbs of force to close it with em both fighting you.

the best design are the torsion/spring designs but those require the A pillar and firewall structure

Im not geting Lambo doors everyone I figure 1500$ could go towards WAY better mods as someone said I could get turbocharge kit if I wanted too. The lambo doors seem kind of not worth it. I wont even think about doing it unless I had a lot of money, even then I still dont think i would do it. I have a lot of other mod ideas in my head that I will share with Y'all in another thread. I appreciate everyone's opinions on this "rice or spice" matter. Seems 95% say no... Because the GTP is one of my favorite cars, I wouldnt want to do something that destroys its reputation. lolz

Hope this made since haha. In short, yes it would cost around 1500$
