I was just curious if anyone is interested in owning this style of hood. It's the 99-02 Camaro SS scoop on the grand prix hood, cut open to be functional of course. I do body work and painting for a living, so these hoods are made the correct way and the best way that I've found works for longevity. I don't use fiberglass to mount the scoop to the steel hood, because that causes failures and corrosion down the road.

For the complete hood painted and read to install it would be $750. The opening would be cut open so that the engine bay can breathe better and you have colder air flow for those of you that have the filter mounted on the Throttle Body.

From order/deposit time to finish time would be about 3 weeks, and I can only do one at a time, because i'm doing everything myself. The other thing would be that there is NO SHIPPING, if you want one you'd have to come and pick it up in holly, mi 48442. Sorry I know that sucks, but i'm not going to trust someone else to ship my hard work somewhere and then mess it up before delivery.

This is what it looks like (this one has a closed opening, costs more, pita) Yes I know who's car this is, I did the hood for him.

and it would look like this

THIS IS JUST TO GAUGE INTEREST. I'm in the process of looking and buying a home so it'll be a2-3 months before I can start ANYTHING, but this is just to feel out orders.

I can also do the front and rear bumper shaving for $150 a piece, where I smooth out the grooves on the front and rear corners of the bumpers

Doesn't look too bad imo, reminds me of the gtx style hoods. Not sure on bumpers tho.

I'd love a hood like that but without you being able to ship it it kinda sucks for me, can't really make my way up there.

I'm interested and would be willing to make the drive. Do you have pics of the under side? And is there a little bit of a "cowl" in the back to let air escape?

yes there is a cowl over hang on the back of the hood scoop and the hood scoop is completely open and flows air in and out. i'll try and get a picture of the underside either tonight or tomorrow.
