I have a set of 05 GP seats I am putting in my 01 Grand Prix. Just wondering for those that have done this swap, is there a wiring diagram out there for this swap. I have searched and seen reference to one but cannot find it. The driver is the only one that is power. The passenger is manual. I just need to know which wires to splice from the 01 harness to the 05 seats to make it functional. Thanks

As far as I know...the seats get power and pulsed ground from the BCM in the later cars. Hooking them up to your 01 will cause them to be on full blast all the time when wired to power and ground when the switch is on as the temperature sensor is in the BCM on the later cars and in the seat on your body style.

I have the cloth seats from an 05 so there is no heater function on them. They are just Grand Prix seats, not heated GXP seats.

Thanks. That is what I needed. Got the seats in and everything works. They are A LOT more comfortable than the stock ones!

Not a problem, there is another thread for hooking up the passenger side seat, I just can't seem to find it via my phone
