Well we finaly got some snow on the ground, so it is time to work on the car.
I have many unfinished things done like the inside of the car.
Painted my Dash and center shifter section last spring. and over the last couple of days have got the inlays of the door pannels done..

Back door needs a little more to finish

Now this is the fun part
I was thinking of doing my seats as well and yes i will be useing the proper Dye to do them and to treat the seats.
What i need is some feed back on what you think as my Wife say it will be to much Red. The Red that will be in the car will be about 40 % of the things
done Red. And the other 60% will remain the same color as is.

This is just a rough idea of what it should look like.
Took a couple of pics and painted them up inside the car...
Let me know what you think....

The marks you see in the photos are falling snow... Oh yeah the fun stuff...

I would think that the strips in the middle of the seats, doing every other one of those in red would look better, but thats me. What kind of dye are you going to use?

Thanks Scott for the feed back
the Dye i would be useing is from

Vinyl Dyes, Plastic Dye, Leather and Rubber Dyes ? Vinyl Paints, Plastic Paint, Aluminum, Metal Dye and Paint
It is used in alot of cars from the factory to do touch ups ect..

I chose to do it like this though this stuff is really good over time it will
fade because of useage so leaving the seating area the same will cut back
    on future work

Damn you must like red!! I understand your thinking on doing the seats that way but I also agree that the red would look better on the inside

II like, it's different and unique, everyone else puts the color in the middle.

Your right it would be usefull to have a section like this

I agree normaly it is done the other way i am just playing on the safe side
i am thinking more along the lines of rivets on pants sharp items stuff like that
That get opps i forgot it was in my back pocket times
But doing the center of the seats would make for more red then just doing the trim of the seats..

I like you thinking black and red. Way to think outside of the box! Hey the older Corvettes had all red interiors including all of the seats dash carpet and all that good stuff. I like it!

I was thinking red stitching also. Try a picture with the piping done in red and see how it looks. That should add just enough red to the seat ares and not take away frome the dash and console.

x2. maybe if you use darker red color that might be alright. the red you have now is too bright
