You're technically American too. Canada is in the Americas... Also, who cares if "vet" is in his name? So what? He's proud of that and I don't blame him.

Yeah. Dealership will win. I bought a car with rusting strut towers and didn't bother looking at them to check. A year after buying it I took the $600 hit to get them fixed. I didn't *****. Just shoveled out the money.

Ah, we will see if I am able to pursuade the Dealership to do something anyways. I was wondering if I redid them with Fibreglass, if that is possible and would be as strong as a Replacement Rocker? Would eliminate any Rust from there on anyways. What do you think?

I wish you the best, hopefully all goes in your favor. it'll be tough but stranger things have happened.

Edit, fiberglass I have the slightest idea, I would go the dealership route and see what happens and then go from there. You never know the outcome until you go there. Not the opinions of those on the Web.

First, I would like to apologize if I offended anyone here. That was not my intention. I would like to explain a bit more on why I am so passionate about this.

This has happened to me before and the dealership that did this to my other vehicle (2000 Impala) stated that it was Certified and had passed Safety, also had the vehicle fail the Inspection from the Ministry of Transportation. I had to fight a hard battle with them in court. And before the court date, the dealership owner passed away. I did however finally win the battle through OMVIC to have the full cost of the vehicle reimbursed. My wife has a severe Kidney Condition and we are just barely able to afford the basic necessity of life as we are only on Social Assistance.

Now with this all happening with our new vehicle, I hope that you can understand where I am coming from. I am trying to support my family and this vehicle is the only thing that is allowing myself to carry on and find employment. The struggles that we have gone through just to afford this vehicle were tremendous and I am not sure that we are strong enough to complete this battle at this point. I do not want to put my Wife in a Vehicle that was stated at purchase as SAFE and now to come to realize that they did not complete a legal safety on the vehicle.

Thank you for understanding. And again, I apologize if I offended anyone here. You all have been tremendously helpful with any and all inquiries that I may have had.

#1 I appreciate the back up from others on this forum you know who you are!

#2. You say this happened on a 2000 Impala? Guess what that is Still a W body car and prone to nearly all the same issues as a Grand Prix.

#3. "I do not want to put my Wife in a Vehicle that was stated at purchase as SAFE and now to come to realize that they did not complete a legal safety on the vehicle. " YOUR negligence of proper PREVENITIVE maintenance is doing exactly this, legal safety check obviously was done as it passed inspection at time of the purchase.

#4. Posting later your apparent whole story changes nothing about the fact of neglect over the time period since owning the vehicle.

#5. Throwing daggers at me or whatever because my name has Vet in it nets you nothing, well besides maybe another response from me.

#6. Helping you see the obvious.......................

    Your welcome VET.
