I was just wondering if anybody has done anything to seal up the primary windshield cowl. I think it's a safe bet to say everyone has this problem.

I have the secondary drain relief pan in place under it. I haven't had a problem with any water but....the paranoa factor.
Just thinking maybe someone has used some window foam as backer then maybe some black RTV. Anyone?

I just went out and looked at mine. It is slightly warped, but nothing to be too worried about.

I bought new cowls both sides recently from gmpartsdirect, but only because both sides were missing the rubber part that covers the door hinges (tons of wind noise on the highway from inside the door panels.

All I can say is that if your cowl is fine and just warped, don't go and buy a new one, because it's been about two months since I got them and the passenger side one is already warped.

Just do what I did and take the cowl off, and bend it into shape. Test fit, repeat. Mine is only sealed perfect because I bent it back into shape, twice. Screw these cowls.

I will admit though, the car rides damn quiet with he new cowls

as far as i can tell you could drive around without the cowl and be fine, provided you have the blower deflector on. i dont even think brand new will fit 100% and "prevent" water from getting under.

Mine is warped pretty bad as well. Thought about ordering a new one but mine doesn't seem to have any effects at the moment so I haven't bothered. Maybe ill bend it back in place after I have the windshield replaced.
