? About Instrument Cluster

I know this is a stupid question but I'd like to know the answer before I start ripping stuff apart I don't need to! I need to change a bulb and the IC has like 5 or 6 different screws now I know there not all holding it in nor from what I can tell they even hold it in looks like they hold the cover on it so if anyone would please straighten this issue out for me ie pic or telling me I'd really appreciate it thanks!

Pull the dash trim panel, unhook fog light switch as you do it. There's two 7mm black screws in the upper corners.. poof..it's out.

there are some torx screws, you really actually need to get it in your hand to see, pull those 2 screws holding the speedo in, look at it, you will see how it disassembles, the bulbs just twist out. most of them are 194's

Well technically they are probably 7mm outside with a T15 in the middle of them.

Thanks I saw 1 of the black torx screws in the top but I didn't notice a second I will have to check I'm not gonna do it till I do the DIC because I had the dash apart yesterday lol and I'm glad I didn't waste my time removing the like 6 torx screws that are silver lol

I took the cluster out today changed bulbs but it didn't work and it was a 100% good bulb but I have my son here and well he's 6 and I gave the car about 40% of my thought process lol I will most likely try again Monday.. Is there a possibility that the actually board can be fried? I took the high beam bulb out that worked and put it in and it didn't work removed it put it back in the high beam and it worked..

You could try cleaning the contacts with a regular pencil eraser, and while you're at it check to see if the traces leading to the bulb aren't scraped open.

Yea everything seemed find I know for a fact the cluster was never taken out and there was barely any scraping on the contact beyond them putting the bulb in for the first time but I do no the bulb was blown the tip of it was smoked from I guess burning out.. I will have to check Monday unfortunately it's a pain in the rear to check the light in the daytime which was the problem today lol I have tint and had my hand cupped over the cluster trying to make it dark and see lol BTW do you know if the smaller bulbs are #74?

Just wanted to update that I fixed it long story.. But yea I fixed it put the dash and stuff back together EVERYTHING was done and I get in the car and start it up and look at the cluster and was like ! the speedo needle was on the opposite side of 0 mph I had to take everything apart and turn the cluster all around and fix the needle lol pain in the rear BUT benefit is A.) I fixed the cluster (looks great and bright now) B.) I'm a pro at taking the dash, cluster, DIC, radio, AC control apart lol thanks for the help everyone it's much appreciated!

Do you mean that once we untwist the stock cluster bulb, that it can be directly replaced with a 194, as in pull original bulb out of socket, insert new 194? Are the smaller bulbs able to be changed the same way? (except for the using a 194 bulb part)

Yes 194 swap and not sure about the little bulbs didn't check I believe they are 74
