Two days ago I hooked up the LED strips I had in my footwell to my gear shifter light so they would be on whenever the headlights where on, so now yesterday I noticed my low beams wherent working. Both of them. I checked the fuses, the bulbs didn't look burned out, so I figured It had something so do with the LEDs so I cut them off the wiring for them and they still don't work. The high beams work perfectly just the low beams don't. Please help

The wiring you did to the shifter light is the interior circuit, this is seperate from the exterior low beams.

When you say you checked the fuses etc. Did you check the circuit breaker for the headlights? Have you checked the multifunction switch and have you checked that your headlights aren't getting grounded?

no I haven't... circuit breaker would be in the fuse box right? and my friends said it might be the multifunction switch... how do you replace one? how would I check if they are grounded? sorry for the questions, im a 16 year old....

It's all good.. all you have to do is tell us what level you are at and we can give you guidance on where to go or how to do stuff.

So you are 16 and sound like you don't have much experience with this stuff yet.
Pop the hood and look behind the headlights. There's a metal piece that sticks out..it can cut a wire if the headlight has gotten hit or has a bad bracket. Take a look at the wiring, see any obivous issues?

The circuit breaker location ....what do you have for a car? 97-03 is in the glove box fuse location.

Multifunction.. at that point, you are using a multimeter, have any experience with one?

Well..that required knowing which year you had. I don't have that schematic in my Photobucket currently. But I'm sure someone here does have it and can post it. So by you and I chatting about it and me saying "someone please post the headlight schematic at the column/mulitfunction" that should get us a diagram. From there we can all talk about what/how to test.

Never mind... Thank goodness it was just a headlight relay.... $43! better then buying a brand new dimmer switch... Now I don't want to take the risk and hook my LED's up again... cause I don't wanna waste another $43 dollars on something I could prevent

Gahh. Wish I saw this sooner. Having a 2008 was the clue to solving this - that relay is a jerkface doodoohead from 2006-2008. Also, they're $17 shipped on ebay.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
