Whats your year make and model? My grand prix has two covers over torque 35 bit size screws right underneath the handle in the middle of the door. Flat screw driver to get the covers off then here is the trick part. The screws are about 2 inches recessed at an upward angle in the door. A flashlight might help here to see the screws. After the screws are out just gently pop the panel away from the door.

O to put them back on! It might be smart to get new push clips because the old ones most likely were brittle and broke while prying them out of the hole. Install new clips (from autozone) and push the door panel back on, then your ready for the tricky part. Putting those screws back in isnt for the faint of heart and takes practice to do it fast. Dont give up! You will know what im talking about when you get to that point. Best of luck to you!

Sorry, the inside. Guess i need to learn how to read again haha. Maybe this helps and can make up for me being an illiterate airhead haha : The moldings at bottoms of the doors are double sided taped on, a heat gun helps remove them. To put them back on i use 3M's double sided tape. i like to use the heat gun again on the new tape to make it stick well. The horizontal dividing body line molding thing has pins that go thru the metal and attach with clips that can be removed by taking off the door panels ( difficult). The trim that runs along the side of the car is held on with two philips screws at each end, and then is held on by a bracket that runs from wheel to wheel and just pulls off. Bumpers are held on with push clips, 7mm screws, 10mm bolts, and philips screws in the wheel wells.

If I were to use goo gone and a heat gun slowly pry up my old ones would that possibly damage the surrounding paint at all and if I just slide the mid door moldings into place and used 3m tape think I'd be alright? And which bracket are you referring to thanks again for the info

Just a heat gun and a soft but rigid plastic scraper. Goo gone in hard on paint IMO and will leave a spot that is hard to polish. to get sticker residue or that leftover foam sticky stuff off automotive paint, use what most people call an "eraser" its basically an rubber disk on a mandrel to fit on a drill. Napa has them for 20$ and it will become one of your favorite tools. i de-badge a lot of cars and that tool is a must have. The trick with them is to keep a medium speed and pressure, push to hard or go to fast and it can damage paint especially on plastic bumpers that have been painted. Ya double stick them back on, use alcohol on a paper towel to prep the area i dont see why not. I think that on some year grand prixs they are just taped on. Well after you remove the side skirt trim you will see a long bracket that the side skirt actually presses into that is bolted to the car. Rip it off as easy as you can, but it will probably have to be bent back into shape when you install the side skirts. Install it back on with metal self tap screws and washers ( thats what i do anywas) So are you maken a SE grand prix look like a GT or somethen?

This is sounding like a headache ha no it's a 97 gtp but my side trim pieces are faded so instead of masking of and painting I was going to get the set from the junk yard painted and just swap them out
