I need to pick a color scheme for my 01' GTP. It's black so the possibilities are endless. While I LOVE the classic black and red combo..I would like to do something different. I'm thinking yellow/black or possibly purple/black. I'd be doing the usual overlays, calipers w/black brackets and in the future striping on my F1 hood. ( The scoops or whatever you'd call them will be a gunmetalish color and the chosen color would be a pinstripe where the hood meets the "scoop")

Any opinions are welcome and if you have pics thats even better

For the love of sweet butter jesus, don't do Black and Purple. I think they are way too dark to go together and the purple just makes the black look horrible. They dont work together.

Black and yellow can work if it's done correctly. It can either look super trashy-homemade or super classy awesome. Good luck with it.

Black and bright green would be BA. I'm basically goin black and blue. It wasn't originally intentional but once i noticed it was happening i decided to take it an run with it.

Black and green is too flashy. Black and a glossy blue would could be really nice. Sounds like a plan to me :P

x2 If you do decide to go with a color like yellow or red just make sure you don't over do it with the colored trim, too much color trim will make it look gawdy. Remember sometimes less is more.

That's defiantly true, I took some of the white out of the inside of my car and it looks much better and classier. I'd go Black and Blue or possibly Black and Orange (unless you hate Halloween) lol.

ghost in some charcoal stripes or get some flat black metallic stripes. Ex. the new shelby gt500kr, or kitt in knight rider. But I do agree with what someone else already mentioned, if youre going with a complete theme dont go overkill, keep the accents to a minimum.

    ignore the guitar

Just to throw out something different. I've always like Black and a good deep orange. A copper/orange would look fkn sexy, however a nice flat orange would contrast nicely I think with the gloss black. And I also say please stay away from the purple.

I know this car is gay...But the color scheme is sick!

Thats the wonderful thing about pearl, some angles hide it and some make it pop. this photo may make it easier,

Orange wouldnt be bad either if done right, which im not sure about. Give me a bit to look around.

BTW thats one of the better cars Ive seen gas do.

edit: found one single black car with orange stripes, i guess google isnt liking my search criteria,

not a good example, ill keep looking
