Someone scraped this trim piece on the drivers side and I want to look into replacing it
I call it door trim...or ding guard. And on some cars I just refer to it as ugly.
depending on the damage to the plastic door trim there, it can be repaired by a body shop for maybe less then a new one cost, as you'll still need to take it to be painted to match your car.
my mothers car, the whole side of her car was dinged up from bumper to bumper, even got the door trim, the body shop who fixed it said repairing the trim was much cheaper then replacing it.
nice thing about trim parts is you drop them off and take your car with you. no down time.
