To spray the bottom and top of the hood if you did the body work and sanded it Maaco would probably charge like $150 and you could just bring them the hood and not leave your car so you dont have to worry about them not tapping it right.
Where are you located? lol I'm in Delaware...I wouldn't mind a drive to get my car done right

I wouldn't attempt blending until you get some more painting experience lol, but to do the hood you will have to sand it all down if its a base clear job previously done on the hod Id say wetsand it down with 600 grit and spray some gray sealer on it (since the hood was previously red) if the sealer was reduced correctly and laid down nice you wouldn't need to sand it before basecoat. After its cleared you could wetsand it with 1500 or 2000 then compound and glaze it with a buffer to make it look better. Read my thread on painting rims it will show you alot of the steps on painting. And if you have any questions Im always on here lol

Might be worth the trip to go over to Eddies. Lip sure is a bit harder to screw that up plus its not In your face as much as the hood. The hood on the other hand yea you want the paint to be flawless since that's a main focal point. I won't have Maccos paint anything important on my car lol but figured hey for that price if it does need repainting no problem plus it was something rather unimportant lol.

Never painted anything myself helped my buddy paint his engine bay..first time I sprayed something and didn't come out to bad.

Only 15 hours plz you still have a few hours left in the day lol. I would go to him if you were to buy the hood that needed a bit of fiberglass work since I know around here you'll be paying out of the butt in repairs cost. Keep looking lol maybe if you could land it cheap enough it'll be worth it. I know one thing you'll have more luck find a good then I would finding a inferno good for sale lol.
