Thread: Orange glow in hood

I'm thinking about getting some orange/amber LED lights and putting them in my hood vents to create an orange glow. Maybe even behind the grills. I don't want it too bright but just a noticeable soft glow. Let me know what you guys think. Cool idea? Have anyone done this that you know of.

I used blue on my zx2 i had it looked pretty good.

Nice. I really want red but the cops will have a field day with me if I do that.

I don't have any pics because i haven't had that car in about 6 years but it looked good for what it was.

What did you use as the power source?

Being young and dumb unfused wires from the battery to a switch inside the car. Wires burned up once.

Make them blink with the blinkers, but I think it sounds like a cool idea!

when i wired in my projectors yesterday my halos blinked when i turned the turn signals on

I think it'll look good!

You could probably use the blinker/driving light as the power source since it will blink with the blinker and it will be on once you put it in drive unless you want to run a switch

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I'm looking to do this maybe next weekend. My buddy was talking about hooking up a relay so the that and the turn signal would alternate when I use it.
