I recently bought a 2000 Grand Prix that has horrible tinting. Its chipping very badly but not peeling where I can just pull it off. I was wondering how I could remove it more easily.

There is no "easy" way to remove tint. There are several methods that use anything from ammonia to other chemicals. If you try to just peel it off you will be left with a nasty sticky residue. Do some googling and figure out which method works best for you.

I've never tried it, but Advanced had a tint removal kit. I was looking at it as the rear tint in the old GTP was getting kinda bad.

I removed my own tint, i used a Clothing Iron and used the steam from it to get the tint real hot and moist, then i took a razor blade and slowly peeled it off. Wasnt easy by any means but saved my money. Left ALOT of glue behind so then i used the razor blade again and window cleaner with vinegar and ran my razor blade over it and it came right off super easy, and no you wont scratch the window

yeahh^ i've wanted to know the same thing, i've seen thoese tint removal kits around but their pretty pricy, i experimented with a couple cars at my local scrap, best way to remove is like said, use some sort or heat to make the glue sticky, then peel it off, then use goo-gone and some elbo-grease and it should rub right off

youtube has some good vids for tint removal, one guy takes a black thick plastic bag cut it to fit the window, not perfect fit just so it covers it, wets it, sticks it to the window and lets the car sit in the sun windows up and it came right off the window real easy like.

steam guns work too, like a shark steam cleaner.

heat gun(or in my case a hair dryer) and a razor blade, then window cleaner and razor blade to get the left overs off.
