I have aftermarket "stock looking" headlights and I want the most trouble free plug and play retrofit projectors I can find. Projectors must be able to fit 9006 bulbs. I bought some from ebay for 130 dollars but they won't allow me to use my 9006 bulbs, instead they gave me wiring harnesses to to make it universal... Please help! Most trouble free retrofit projector that a 9006 hid bulb with fit in please. Thanks in head of time for all the help =)

As far as I know, there are no projectors that use 9006 bulbs. The factory halogen projectors in many GM vehicles use 9005 bulbs, which have nearly an identical plug, but they are not intended for HID's and may have an uneven intensity field if HID bulbs are used. Personally, I would see the Morimoto Mini as the easiest retrofit. All you have to do is slide the the back part through the original bulb opening and secure it level. Re-seal the housing and you are (theoretically) good to go. You can buy replacement bulbs to plug into your current setup from many places. Check out TheRetrofitSource's website.

Add a bunch of time and dremal work, then the projector will fit inside the headlight.

    Moro's use H1 bulbs.

Email them about there blowout sale and get the previous models for half price. They are still in like new condition, just never tested lights, I've bought a pair already.

And you wont be able to hit any other bulb than H1's, when you get them you will understand.

New bulbs are only like 25 bucks.

I thought you had an HID kit, but i guess not.

I dont think you can buy regular H1 bulbs and just throw them in, because the plug in is different.

If you had hids, you could just buy H1 bulbs.

I do have hids right now, 5k lows, highs and fogs but they ate in my stock housings. Why I want projectors, if these mini projectors work good them il be doing my fogs also. My hid bulbs are lows 9006, highs 9005 and fogs 898. Will, the h1 hook right up to the 9006 plug ins? If they do then will any h1 bulb fit in the projector?

You just buy new h1 bulbs.. they plug into your ballast, not your stock wiring.

Yeah there is no way you are going to fit a 9006 bulb in a Morimoto Mini. As far as I know, the majority of the projectors use H1 bulbs. Not all, but most. And you can actually pick up a set of H1 bulbs on eBay for like $10 bucks. They plug into the ballast just like very other HID bulb.

Also, they have different, smaller projectors for fog lights. So if in the future you think you're going to attempt it, a mini is not going to be your friend in a foglight retro.

TRS sells a foglight retro kit as well. They're called blazers and a set costs $45.

They're 135x65x65 as compared to the Mini's which are 136x70x80 (all this in mm).

I'd like to see someone retrofit these next to the mini's in some headlights....

This is my next project. New headlights just spent ten minutes in the oven at 300° and I got both of them apart. Now I'm waiting on my mini projectors to get here and I'm buying the blazers today, also just bought all new 6k low highs and fog lights (hid)... Next weekend is going to be fun... Lol
