so as the title says im fed up with my hid fog lights going out, or only one working or just coming on when they feel like it. I havent even had the hids in the fog lights for a year yet but have had to fix or replace parts 4 times already. now ive had it! So yesterday i put my halogen bulbs back in there, and wow the light output sucks!!!

so right now im looking for alternate ideas. ive checked ebay and come along options such as halogen xenon gas charged bulbs...
880 XENON HALOGEN FOG/DRIVING AUTO LIGHT BULBS YELLOW | eBay

or these IN BOX BRIGHT WHITE 8500K 880 27W HALOGEN XENON GAS DRIVING/FOGLIGHT LAMP BULBS | eBay

let me know if you guys have tried them or know anyone who has and how they are. i dont think they can compete with hid light output but should be better than stock halogens right?

I've only come across a few issues with mine. I just recently figured out that it was my lack of wiring skills because I had loose connections. So I rewired all of mine and soldered all the connections with shrink tubing to go with it. I would try checking your connections first.

EBay ballasts and bulbs. Just kept trying different ballast brands till I found a good manufacturer.

my problem was first (before the relay harness) i kept blowing the main fuse for the fogs. then with the relay harness i have have blown a total or 5 ballasts. twice ive blown 2 at the same time. checked wiring and everything is fine. the ballasts i have tried are Xentec slim ballasts. ive tried a set of the ultra slim ballasts the same i have for my head lights and those blew after roughly 5 weeks. (i have had the same ultra slim ballasts on my headlights for a good 5 months now and no problems at all) other problems with them were that they would only come on sometimes, or only one of them. and yes i always double check my connections.

anyways this thread isnt about my old hid problems. its about if anyone has tried those xenon gas charged halogen bulbs.

ok this went off topic pretty quick! maybe i will order another completed hid kit (with wiring harness). cuz i want that light output back! the set i ordered was off of ebay and was only about 40$ so im guessing not the best quality. anyone have suggestions for good quality Hid brands? I will never go back with Xentec.
