I have been thinking of getting the top of my windshield tinted on my 08 GP. I was wondering if the tint would look pretty good since it has all the dot BS up top. Has anyone had this done?

I would only get the top done and I would only go to the little line. The sun is the main reason... this giant windshield and no sun dealie at the top.

I would assume that truck was inspiration for the windshield?

Does removing the spare count as weight reduction?

The top of my windshield has all those little dots and I dont think the tint sticks to that as well. It will work but doesnt look as good. Is this not a problem?

I found a place that can do it really cheap and nice.

that looks dumb, it looks like your car is squinting lol.

just tint she windshield, it's much less obvious and a billion times more practical.

my regal has the little black dots too, in the middle around the rear view mirror, you really need to clean/scrub that area clean with steel wool, and re wash, and re wash, get it lol

i did my own brow tint, ( i only went as far as the factory tint line) if you want to try it your self, you will need a heat gun to shrink the tint.

Tint sticks TO the dots just fine... the problem is they are elevated so you get a bunch of untinted gaps around the dots. Gotta sand em down GENTLY.

And a billion times more dangerous. I do agree that the tint at the top and the bottom looks stupid. Not only that, but its illegal and extremely noticable.

i do agree it's more dangerous, it's not as bad as people would think. the only time it bothers me is if it's dark and raining hard. other than that you really don't notice it. mine is only 50% so it's not THAT dark.

Try driving on a highway with not extra lighting. Makes a huge difference. I was talking to a guy I work with about windshield tint. One of our SEMA/show trucks had windshield tint at one time. He and another guy was driving it back from a show one niight when they hit a rainstorm and a highway that had just been paved and not lined yet. They couldn't tell whether or not they were even on the road. They had to rip the tint off because it was too dangerous.

i drive 40 min to and from work on the highway every day, it's really not that bad. don't do super dark tint and don't be blind.

i even still wear sun glasses 90% of the time because it's still bright.

I guess 50% would be on a pretty decent level, still ify but if you can see and it wont mess up your driven, why not.
