Did you seriously paint the surface of the rotor?

im thinking thats the protective coating some rotors come with. it wears off when bedding the them in.

I painted the rotor "hat" in hopes the edges of it would be seen under the rim. But no. Complete waste of time.

I painted the ones on the car now. Brake pads ate the paint up fast in the fire ring but didn't eat the beveled edges of the drills and slots

I want to paint the calipers on my Sonoma sometime. Thinking either black or color matched indigo blue metallic.
02 GT: Silverstar ultras, nighthawk platinum 2157s, ngk plugs, champion wires, 6k hid fogs, stainless magnaflows, cleaned tips, 2 10" subs. Finally painted.

I was going to do that but I was worried about "gunking" the pads up.

I decided to try and match mine with my front clip. Did red brackets and black caliper.

With the black wheels I think all red caliper/brackets would have looked better. At a glance it looks like you have the bracket but the caliper is gone lol.

Not bad, but I would have went a different way.
