you guys have framed windows too right? well its a pain in the ass. i just finished my regal this weekend, i did the fronts in 35% all the back windows with 20%. and i have to say on the doors, the best looking window was the last one i did, i got good at it finally. i got my back window tint from e bay and the brow from them, they sell whole car kits, all pre cut, for your car in what ever % you want. i wish i found them before i started buying rolls and cutting them my self, its kinda hard to do, and the windows need to be spotless, i mean clean, -000 steel wool for the defroster in the back, and razor blades for the other windows.
here's the link for the guy i used, they own a shop and have the tint made to their specs, they are in FL too. i ordered on a friday night and the tint came the following weds.
heres one for the side windows, all of them Pontiac Grand Prix 4dr 97-03 Front Cut Tint-Any Shade | eBay
and one for the back window Pontiac Grand Prix 4 dr 97 98 99 00 01 02 03 Rear Tint | eBay
they have brows but you need to cut it to fit. this tint is good qualty if you ask me, it took the heat gun well and shrunk real tight to the back glass, i have no big bubbles, or tint hanging off like you see all the time.
oh and its not like its all really pre cut, its outlined, with perforated holes, that a blind man could find and follow, wet the back window, lay the tint on the back window, and cut the lines, perfect fit.
if you read the whole ad it even says if you mess it up, they will ship you another order and a discounted price to work with you.
and heres a pic of the back window, its tight.
and the brow i did. its 5%, it comes at 10 inches wide, but i cut mine down to 7 inches from the top of the window, thats where the factory tint ended. the brow need to be shrunk too, it had several fingers that had to be shrunk.
watch a chit load of youtube vids before doing this, it will help, shows the tools you'll need and how to do it, and take the inside of the doors off, it makes it so much easier to work on.
and a link to my members rides, it shows the side windows, after a 4 hours buffing job on the paint. http://www.grandprixforums.net/scott...-gs-47574.html
I've tinted a couple of my old trucks myself. But for the nice looking car.... spend the money. Its so worth the cash. I think I spent like 35 for each door, 15 for each little backwindow (2dr) and 130 for the rear. So like 230 for the whole thing, looks way better than any of my pickups.
