ok so i have an HID kit on the way and plan to install it when it gets here. BUT im a cheap fool and herd you can make you own projectors out of your stock housings??? If so where do i get all the stuff to do so. And if its not really worth it where can i get a decent set of projectors for cheap? Also anyone here just running 600k hid kit in their reflectors? ever get pulled over for your lights? Thanks in advance!

you might want to do a search about those projectors you can buy off ebay and such. I have no personal experience but there was enough bad threads about them on this site to stop me from buying them and go the retro fit route.
2000 GTP, retro's, Debadged, 15% Tint, SD headers, TB HAI, EGR delete,
Tuned By Reptile, WBS Perf. LCA's, GMPP rear sway bar Dorman front, Tinted tails.

interesting ill have to look into that. The only real big thing from stopping me from doing the whole retro fit on my stock housings is im very nervous about doing it. Iv havent really worked on something like that so dont wanna mess anything up and be without headlights lol. Plus i dont have any power tools easily accessible

Retro fitted Projectors will out do the ebay projectors all day.

That being said, the ebay projectors have better light output then stock headlights by far. Get some weatherstripping to keep them from bouncing and that's all you really have to worry about. I don't know why people talk so much sh*t about projectors.

It's up to you. Get headlights that are already plug and play, or go do it the better way and work on a set of retrofits.

well then my question to you is seeing how the retro fitting will be better, is the work on it somewhat way and is it easily doable without power tools? Cuz what i thought about doing is just going to a junk yard and getting a set to work on that way if i mess up i got spares lol

I wouldn't say it's easy. A cool guy on here makes them and they require a lot of work. You have to take the headlight apart, hack the back up a bit to get the projector to fit, get it all sealed up, aimed correctly... A lot of work, but in the end it's much better.

awesome thanks for the link. Like i said i may look at going out to a junkyard when i have some money and get a second set to either put in my car temporarily or do the work just in case so i wont have to be without headlights lol it doesnt SEEM too hard to me just looks very time consuming really cuz you have to be accurate with it all and make sure everything line up and fit properly.
