I was wondering if it was possible to hook up some kinda motor or somthing to open up the cup holders by the push of a button. ino it would just be easy to manualy open them but it would be pretty james bondish to push a button and it folds out. and im talkin about the cup holders in a 97-03 grand prix.

Sure...it'd just take some fab work. All you would need is a linear actuator and some fabrication skills

how bout use one finger and pull out the stock ones with ease. They already pop out for you lol

cuz i was thinking have it rigged to the steering wheel radio controls.

Well it would be super cool and easy enough but I was researching and those actuators are real expensive anyone know where to get a cheap one

You'll need to remove the spring on the cup holders for these to work.

I own a 07 so have no idea what the 97-03 looks like, got a picture? May have a few ideas, pretty good with this type of stuff.

They are door lock actuators so its not like a slow smooth motion like linear actuators. Its *pop* open, *pop* closed.

Im not doing it, I was just telling bandits what could be used to do it. Too much work for somethin I could just take a half second to pull open.
