Just curious, those that removed your rails... what did you replace them with? Or did you just leave that "valley" open on the roof?

The stock part that was in there is garbage once removed.

This is more of a question outta curiosity..... for whenever the day comes to sell'em.

My stock strippings are still in perfect shape in the garage. If I ever need/want to remove them, I can just put them back on.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

how did you not bend the **** outta the metal inside? I guess I didn't care to try considering I threw them in the dumpster once they came off.

I tried like all hell to get mine off without bending them...didnt happen. So I just left them open...didnt like the look... Used some resin and filler to fill it up, and smoothed it out over about 1months....many many layers. Probably woulda cracked if I kept it for any amount of time

its for aerodynamics, or some ****. Channeling the air over the center of the car helps highspeed handling, so some scientist guy told them to do it.

so roof rails add stability in high speed handling?
Does removing the spare count as weight reduction?

roof rails on our cars do nothing.
