Gen 1's from them have fitment issues. Your best bet is to stick with 3800 performance for the gen 1.

I think a pedestal style spoiler would look odd on our cars. There's really no "edges" on the body to go with the lines of that spoiler. Would probably look out of place. If in doubt, take the old one off and set the cuda spoiler on it and post a pic of it.

The Gen1 SLP fits the trunk as it is designed for it. Yes, there can be some fitment issues due to the nature of the material, but none that can't be easily delt with. And they come up for sale used and can be had for less than the $300 for a new one. Then all you have to do is get it painted. Or get lucky like me and have it already painted in the same color

I'm not really big into spoilers, especially on my DD but after installing the Gen1 it really makes the car look better to me. Like it belongs there vs. the stock flat spoiler. Now I just need some tips to set it off better.

I should have been more specific on the elitespoilers. It does not sit flush on the center of the spoiler when installed on the trunk. I had a gen 1 as well and the only fitment issues was with some of the holes not lining up.

my whole concept imtrying to do is old school meets new school. im getting the 69 camraro hood grills on it and i have an f1 rear bumper and side skirts that will be installed. im repainting it the same color but the hood and trunk will be flat black. if the cuda wing dosnt work at least i tried my cusint has one from his colection of junk and parts. wish me luck on the concept lol imagination looks a whole lot different once its reality.

I could see a set of hood vents, but not the 69 Camaro's. They're too square looking and not sure how they would flow with a car that doesn't have a square edge on it anywhere.

    Maybe do something like this...

This would still give you the vents, but be a bit more rounded to flow w/ the body lines of the GP. Of course you can paint them flat black w/ the rest of the hood. Then throw on some nice rims and call it done.

But hey, I'm all for something new and its your ride. Just throwing ideas out there. I'd like to see it when it's done.

those look sweet. i wasnt exactly looking at the squared hood grills. ive had my eyes on these but ikd, they look good on curvey cars like the viper and corvette.

RunCool Real Heat-Escape Hood and Side Louvers

and all these ideas are great. my minds working over time.

I wouldn't go with those as mentioned they are a bit too square to flow w/ the body.

    Maybe something like this:

It's got more of a sweep to it and the mesh behind it will go more with the existing grills and possibly the lower air dam if you install a mesh grill there as well. Of course it doesn't have to be chrome. I'd probably paint it body color and maybe black out the mesh to blend it in better seeing as how all of our trim is black and this would transition better into the trim around the windshield and the front door area.
