Just like the title says someone keyed my car. Asshole. Where can I find touchup paint? Called gm and they said my car was painted medium gulf blue which isn't correct because my car is electric blue. The paint code is 10219020. Thanks guys.

if ya have comprehensive insurance it would be a no fault claim (rates dont go up) you just pay the deductable to get it fixed.

if ur touchin it up go to a bodyshop and get em to mix ya some in a small bottle. we do it here all the time.

How deep are the scratches. If they're not down to the metal a good body guy can get the scratched out without any paint.

In any event, do NOT use touch paint if the scratch(es) is/are that big. It'll look terrible. Use your insurance and get it done right.

at my last house, about 40 kids were walking down the street like a mob, curb to parked cars, hooting and yelling and after they moved by i looked out side and saw the car behind me had 2 nice scratches and thought, man that sucks, then i realized that the kids just keyed the whole block, wound up being 150 cars for blocks on end. i had two scratches, deep ones from bumper to bumper on my 03 truck, i was pissed.

cops had a nice time filling out all the reports too, he didn't look to happy.

i saw this being done on a tv show some time ago, it really looked worth it, vs the roller or brush paint repairs, it looked like new when they were done.

it comes with filler to fill the scratch and sandpaper to wet sand with, and clear coat.

    underside of the deck lid,
Some dealerships still have paint, I was able to get a touch up pen the other day for my 05, there are some online retailers but ive never dealt with them. When i had to repaint my 99 i went to a Sherwin Williams auto (not sure if they are US as well)

hooked you up in the chat box, but if you need them for reference later:

PaintScratch Touch Up Paint, Spray Cans, Paint Pen
Automotivetouchup.com Touch Up Paint, Aerosol Spray Paint and Paint Touch Up Accessories

they are potentially the same place, but i used the second one for some paint for my car. they make it however you want. good luck!

sadly the deductible is more often more than the repair costs, like a 500 deductible and the repair cost is 350, your still paying for it.

If I saw that I would lose it! theres not anything you can really do when theres that many of them unless your packing some major heat or feel like mowing them over with a truck which would be very illegal but honestly people like that don't deserve to be on this earth with us

You should have called the cops and told them there is a mob of kids keying cars and they've just left after doing mine, you better get an officer to them before I do, and then cock a gun and hang up... they will get there quickly hahaha

On a side note, 90% of all dealerships, including the one I work at, have to send off for paint, usually takes 1-2 weeks to get it. Most don't have enough business to stock touch-up paint (usually expires before its sold). They should have looked it up by the vin# to find out what color it was painted factory, as long as it hasn't been painted some other color, what they order should match perfectly unless your paint is sunfaded

That being said, its usually a 5oz bottle, spray or brush, and those scratches prolly need to be looked at by a professional to get fixed, they look deep and being that long if you mess up at all it will be very noticable.

just my 2 pennies, good luck

rule of thumb if you can get your fingernail into the scratch it will need paint.

theres a park 2 blocks from me thats packed with kids, by the time the cops came they said there was nothing they could really do, give me your info and you can pick up a report was all that was done, after all, they all look alike if ya know what i mean.

the cop said they had calls for 6 or 7 blocks worth of these kids and keyed cars, yet they still got away with it.
