I know theres sevral other threads about tinting but I couldnt seem to find them for some reason. So I finally decided to get my car tinted and thought I would go over to ziebart and get an estimate since the last place I checked said 400.
So I walk in there and ask if I can get an estimate on getting my car tinted the lady was like yea. So I tell her its a 2002 grand prix but for some reason she put down 2010 which I saw and corrected her.
Then she starts writting down some numbers first $239.99 then she said theres a sale and crossed out $239.99 and wrote down $209.99 then mentioned the $25 coupon on their web site so she changed it to $184.00 and made sure she mentioned the lifetime warranty again... so I went ahead and made an appt for next sat morning was werid didnt ask for anything but my last name. The minute I walked out of there and got in my car it hit me. She never asked if it was a four door or coupe, didn't ask what tint I wanted, or how many windows, she didnt even tell me what window tint brands they use or anything really
So do they just charge around the same price for everything and make big profits? or am I going to go there next saturday tell them what I want and get my car back then they ak for $400?

so if any of you have experience with ziebart let me know

Never used them, guy would undercoat my car for under $100 and drive me to work and drop my car off before i had to go home.

Nice deal, havent taken him up on it yet.

$184 is a good price for all windows (excluding front windshield). If $184 is for only the rears and no front windows, forget it..

They don't ask you window tint cause they only carry 4 kinds (if I'm not mistaken)

    5%, 20%, 35%, and 50%.

This is how the place I went to get my car tinted had it set up

I would call to confirm, just say "that $184 is for all windows right?" and let that be that.

Place i had mine done at had every percent from 5-50. In 5% increments. 5,10,15,20,25, etc.

For lifetime tint all around with a windshield strip. Was like 230 somethin'.

Well up here it isn't Ziebart anymore it's Ztech but when I was getting quotes for both my remote start system and my tint their prices were way higher than other peoples. The place wanted 300 bucks for it. I ended up going to a place where he use to work for Ztech but started his own business and only charges per window. I do believe that most places just charge per window because tint is tint. Doesn't cost more to buy the 35% tint than 50% tint.

I had Ziebart (in Fort Wayne, Indiana) do my windows... and I will never go back. They have actually redone multiple windows 3 times - either there was "stuff" under the tint or bubbles never came out after months of waiting. They do honor their lifetime warranty, but did terrible jobs on the installation... multiple times. Can't say that this is the same of all Ziebarts, obviously, but I will never go back... The tint is still not right...

I can't speak to the pricing of Ziebart in the States, but here in Dubai they charge around $300 for my 4 door GTP. MY family has gotten Ziebart on our BMW's and Accords and overall we're quite happy with its heat rejection quality. IIRC, they use Solar Gard film, so if you find a dealership for them or something, maybe it will be cheaper?

llumar tint is the best. had it on my prix and i will always pay for a better tint shop with better product than going anywhere for a $99 special. not worth the hassle to get a ****ty tint job.

Lumar tint is the best. It is a lot thicker than the cheap tint used by Ziebart. Also does not look discolored. I will never use another brand after trying it years ago on my 94 Z-34.

Only disadvantage is it definately cost more.
