I went to get my windows tinted at Ziebart in my city about 3 1/2 years ago. When I went they had a lifetime tint for about $240 with taxes and a 3 year warranty tint for about $190. Obviously I went with the lifetime 22% tint for a little extra. My tint still looks the same as the first day I bought it 3 1/2 years ago. When I had went they would charge the same price for a 4 door or 2 door and the darkness of tint. The choices they had were 32, 22, 13, and 6%. Odd numbers i know. On my receipt they used a High Performance tint. As for tint choices, if u want a kinda dark tint then get 20% or 15% for a dark tint and 5% for a REALLY dark tint. Dont get 35% tint or higher, its too light and it will be a waste of money. Just make sure when u go to tell them to tint behind the 3rd brake light because some shops will just cut around it and it will look very awkward.
yeah i have that silly cutout in mine. def looks weird. im going to be painting the 3rd brake light black to make it look better.
I did call to ask and 185 was for all the windows and front strip would be +35 which I think im going to get I still dont know what % cause I dont want to scream pull me over but I don't want to pay 220 for to see through the windows from a mile away
Im not going to Ziebart, but when I get my white gp redone, I plan on doing 20 on side and rear and then the darkest they have for the front banner. and put a piece of tape where you want the front banner to come down to, or otherwise they will jsut do it to the ASI line which is a waist and doesnt do anything imo. so go further down. I think I did 6" down or so on my G6
So I got a pretty good storey for all of you. We've all read reveiws and heared bad things about a few Ziebart's. Well now I guess I can add to them. Dropped off my car just before 9:00am Saturday went out with a member of the sales staff and decided on what I wanted while they took some info down. Went in to finish up on that part give them the keys etc...
Asked how long it was going to take and they said about 2 hours. Was kind of surprized that seemed pretty quick for a sedan. Of course after I asked that they were all like "are you in a hurry". "are you going to wait in the lobby?"
me "no." "I got a freind coming to get me in like 5 mins"
So I'm sitting down flipping through a brocher and I hear my car startup. Theres no windows there except for the glass door But I know what my car sounds like pretty easy to tell considering the only other vehicals there at that time were a late model civic and a pontoon boat niether of which sound like a cammed gp.
Anyways I hear my car startup then squeeling tires and the sound of a grand prix going WOT across the parking lot and then reving inside the garge making all kinds of noise... Before I can even get up a manager in the sales staff opened the door to the garage and is all over the punk who pulled my car into the garage he pretty much told the dude if he ****s up one more time hes as good as gone. The sales department apoligized to me multiply times and all I said was don't let it happen again...
So a few hours later I go to pick this thing up funny thing was I walked right in when they went to call me and tell me it was done. Paid my bill "probablly should have asked to see my car first" but anyways I paid my bill the salesman yelled back in the garage that I was here and my car needed to be brought around... waited like 10 mins for my car to be brought around... and it was almost as bad as the first time. The guy almost backed my car into the sales floor for me... he literally parked not in a parking spot but up on the side walk infront of the entrance with maybe 2 feet of clearnece between the door and the back of my car. The guy who got out of it looked very unporfessional and possible drunk which would explain a lot. When I confronted him he just looked at me very confussed didn't say a thing. At that point I took the keys out of his hand and just left... But hey atlest the guy put the parking brake on for me...
I wouldnt say that its all bad this could just be one bad employee the sales staff was very easy to deal with and proffesional. But we will have to wait awhile to see how the tint turns out when it dries all the way. Was very upset at how dirty my car was left considering it was completly spotless when I dropped it off and they got glue all over the place. heres some pics of things I noticed all get some pics of how the car looks with the tint later tonight.
the red shows marks from where they sized it on the outside or somthing idk I don't tint windows but they could have cleaned it off when they finished the blue Is what I would call a poor fit but im picky so idk
more marks that they could have cleaned
I guess that is a hard edge to do on a window with a frame but I feel as if it could have looked nicer
This is a major pet peave of mine and the fact the a place that detailes cars did it... rawr. One there was no need for the guy to adjust my mirrors two when you adjust a rear veiw mirror you don't put your fingers on the glass.
They bent my defroster things idk wtf there called but they could have put them back in place properly
how hard is it to clean up when your done working really?
Im not sure if this glue or scratches in the seat either way they were not there before

Well from the looks of the bad cut marks, drying won't help ****. However the bubbles in the tint will most likely go away. And what they did to your interior is just another story.
