My Taillights where Just as Bad so i just Tinted them they look great on sliver cars.

there Very Dark but they look amazing At night and during the day.

The sealing yes, use Black or Clear Silcon. And make a 1/4 inch Line all the way around. Also fill around the Reflector And smooth it out so its level with the rest of the light then if tinting sand with 600Grit and then u get to choose how dark u want.

Message me if u need anymore info on fixing these up mine were totaled like fish bowls and shorting my Blubs and fuses, after the sealing there hasnt been any water in them. and the tint is amazing

Mine are the darkest u can go before there no longer transparent

hey man, if ur using vht nightshade, which im guessing u r, u dont even have to sand them. 600 grit is way too rough if you would anyway for a lens man. all u gotta do is mask em, clean em REALLY good with a acetone, or prepsol, then lightly rub them off with a tack rag. just spray and play after
the reason u dont gotta sand em is cuz nightshade has a built in adhesion promoter called ketone or something. so it sticks right to ur light.

well u didnt use nightshade so u would have to sand them so u did it right
but redline, like i said u dont got to cuz of the adhesion promoter. but scuffing REALLY lightly wont hurt.

Well when your Taillights are trunign white cause the 2 lens are ripping apart. its easier to just Black out the lights. and yes light tint is good

My Grand Prix has 10 Coats

Well...i had to put those newish tails in untinted cuz the other ones started blowing bulbs so full of water. and its only been a week and 6 days of rain and the one is already taking in water (and yes I even put silicone around it, but there is a chunck missing, so I'm guessing I didnt get enough in there to fill the hole.
sooo...i am on the search for a PERFECT set of stockers *(no tint). I like the red stockers...it ties in with my color scheme. So if anyone knows of a set, let me know! I hate how expensive tails are. I've been looking on ebay with not very much luck as 1 tail is 120+ (more than my budget considering I would like to replace the driver side too). Any other suggestions on where to look?
There is a take-a-part here, but all the gps there have water already.

haha, thanks. I think its gonna be a rather hard mission.
the current ones are ok...for now
Whenever my next day off feels like coming to visit, im gonna take them out and drill holes in them and try to seal them up a little better.
Its just irritating and they look like poo. (the passanger one has some mud in it from the previous wreckage it was pulled from as seen in the initial post on 1st page)
Is there any way to stop the lamination from peeling?

I actually drilled holes in my 2001 Grand Prix's taillights for this reason and they seemed accumulate a little bit of moisture when it got wet out, but at least it wasn't a fishbowl, lol.

It was definitely a lot less however.

but it did dry out once the sun was around, which is the point of doing it.
