Has anyone figured a way to easily run brighter LEDs in the angel eyes of the projectors? i dont think you can easily remove the rings to solder in brighter leds but has someone found a way to make them brighter and more distinct?

or does anyone has any valid suggestions as to getting the light ones in them currently any brighter?

I made a writeup on exactly this subject and it's posted on three gp forums.

Those are Hella Optilux Angel eye fogs, you may have a different kind hopefully the rings are the same.

I think he's talking about the projector headlights. Once you can get into the housing, changing the LED's would probably be exactly like that writeup.

I've tried taking apart the housing on a spare (already broken) projector I had, and what I found out is that the housing is very brittle, and that the sealant between the lens and the housing is located pretty deep inside the housing. I got frustrated with it and stopped, since they didn't really fit inside my oven, but you could try baking them to see if you can get the sealant soft enough to get the lens off. Just be careful, as the housing will crack very easily.
