Thread: Removing roof rails

So I was wondering what the best/safest way to take roof rails off. Anyone got any idea?

Screw driver and pry them off

What about anything to aid the process like a heat gun or something of the sort to help with the adhesive

Yeah I'm parting out cause I got in a wreck

you can try some heat, but it probably wont penetrate as well as you want. the roof rails are pretty durable so you shouldnt have a problem. just dont dent/scratch them in the process.

What about heating from underneath? The car was totaled and he is parting it out.

just get in there and pull on them. use your man arms.
