My drivers side speaker doesn't work anymore so I have to replace it. Can I just splice into the existing wires and not have to go to the amp? Also the plastic rivets that hold the door panel on are already broken. Is there an easier way to get it to hold on, or where can I get more rivets?

You can get those plastic 'rivets' at any auto parts store. Just take one of the not so broken ones, and compare it to the GM ones, you'll find em.

And you can splice it in right there. Just cut off that little plastic connector that plugs into the stock speaker, and splice your speaker to that.
