I got my set of RAT dogbones from Jason on Sunday night, and they were in dire need of a polishing and cleaning. So I decided to use my Master Formula Metal Gloss and Sealer Gloss on them see what would happen. Brian, aka Reptile, turned me onto this Polishing compound raving about how good it was. Well when were at that Car Race event at Gateway a few weeks ago, there was a salesman there pushing Master Formulia.

Watching the demostration convienced me to get a set of the Polishing Compound and the Sealer Gloss. I am quite happy with the purchase and reccomend it to anyone else who really wants their polish to look its tip top best!

I will now let the rest of the pictures do the rest

Unpolished one vs the one I just polished with MF.

    After both are polished.

Yes I tried it on my fuel rails as well, and it made an even marked difference over my Mothers paste. The Masters Formula is none oil based as compared to Mothers, to its easier to work with and easier to clean and polish.

That is my take on it

Do you have to use a dremel for the minor scratches? How to you remove those?

While their demonstrations at car shows and related events is impressive, I have not been too impressed using this product on my own. It does do what its made to do no doubt about that, but many other things to factor in.

But if your into polishing penny's, rings, and the bottoms of aluminum soda cans then this is the stuff for sure for you.

Scratches in the aluminum can be removed by sanding them out with the right grit of sand paper according to the scratch your dealing with. Finner for small scratches, and medium for deep or heavy scratches. Then finish up with some more polish and buff to a mirror shine.

With this (or the Mother's), is it better to use a dremel with a soft brush? Or is by hand good enough?

I used a dremel with Mothers just about 2 months ago and man............DON'T DO IT! I am still picking pieces of out of my plastic from is spraying everywhere. And that was with it set to only 2k RPM's I had to revert to applying it by hand and use the dremel to prevent anything from flying all over my engine bay. So I would recommend against using the dremel in regards to apply it. With the Master's I can apply the Polishing compound and let it dry and use only a microfiber towel and just gently rub it off and the stuff comes right off. Now with the sealer you can let it dry and then use the dremel to really enhance the shine.

I like Mothers, and I used it on my SS mufflers and SC since last summer, but when I saw the demostration and the power of the sealer and how it protects your product after its been sealed, it convinced me. Also the difference between Master's and Mother's is that Mother's is oil based and Master's is not. The difference can be seen when applying the polish and the ease to which it comes off. Mothers just keeps getting dirty and I have had to do more polishing with Mothers to get the shine to come through. With Masters so far having done my Fuel Rails, Super Charger, and my new RAT bones its far easier to use and keep clean.

The sealer really lives upto its name. Some of the water spots on the RAT's seemed like they would never come off with my experience with getting my SC polished when I used Mothers, so I was little curious to see how long or hard I would have to apply pressure to get those water marks off. Surprisingly it took little effort to remove them. And their sealer keeps the water off and helps to prevent any further water mark stains too. Also the sealer is so easy, I just put a little bit on my finger and smeared over the newly polished area and let it dry. And with almost no effort or force it just wiped right off like it wasn't even there. And when you run your finger tips over its super smooth and resists new smears pretty darn good

The Rat's were all done by hand, no dremeling needed. And you can see by the shine how good it is

So I guess I am sucker for a good show n tell too

Would I be able to use this Masters stuff on my alternator, motor mount brackets (the ones bolted to the heads) and stuff like that?

I'll probably order an extra fuel rail from Ed to work on off the car.

You can use it on any polished surface. I even use the sealer on my wheels....it makes cleaning them sooooooo much easier than taking a rag to scrub the brake dust off.

I was thinking the same thing, but I was gonna go the ZZP route with their one fuel rail set that has only the one braided fuel wire that goes over the center of the supercharger. That way I can keep the SC nice and polished
