All I can say is forget the wax, it won't hide deep scratches or swirl marks....Go with most any SYNTHETIC polish, you will be amazed by the amount of boo boo's this stuff hides. It's a bit more of a pain in the application and buffing but the reward is huge. And it last's a good while too.

Never buy a dirty car though. Just saying. When I worked with my dad at his dealership, we kept all the cars clean, cause most of them were pretty mint as far as body and paint.

ik i usually dont buy anything from individuals or dirty cars, but when i bought this car,i did so out of a need for transportation asap plus it was cheap..so i didnt have really look for at it like that...guess thats my mistake now.

    off topic slightly-----

i have bigger problem really now these days..a part of the unibody of my car looks like this

cuz wit this it will not pass PA inspection..so what i wanna do is get it patched over and see it it'll pass..but idk,if not this could be the end of this GTP

Dunno how long you've had it, but I'd see if you can just return it.

cant return it..it was a private sale that i did in NY b4 i moved,it would prolly pass in NY..and prolly owned it 2 months, but that is what new york winters/salt since 2000 will do to a car..so as of now there r 2 options..
    A) put a holy sh!t amount of $ into the car and get it to pass a PA inspection orP
B)just say screw it and buy a another car that is PA legal, preferably another GP..but i love my car and am not really in a situation to do that as of now

so idk srsly i just dunno -_-

I think the best way to fix that rust would be find a nice rust free GP. Because you know there is rust even worse in areas you cannot see.
There are lots of rust free GP/GTP's here in FL, they come up on CL list from time to time, check it out.

Man I am glad that ND don't have inspections on regular cars and pickups. Cause I have owned and driven several vehicles that were way worse than that. We've actually used expanda-foam to seal up rust holes in bodies. good as new.

In ny we had the same thing with cars up there..we had inspections but they were soo lax that people had cars that were just like u described..then i moved here and found that the PA standards are soooo much more strict.

You think PA inspections are bad Try getting a PA car to pass Massachusetts inspection. Emissions are strict as hell, and the standard for body condition are ridiculous...Any rust, anywhere..fail. Dented or slightly discolored license plate...fail. And so on...Our cars have to be near perfect to pass. Which is not easy here on Cape Cod, as we are surrounded by the ocean...

Sad part is....probably. It's considered a safety issue. Flaking rust can become separated from body and fly off and cause potential harm to people. I'm not even joking, I work at a station that does the inspections. Now, if it's been hit with bondo that's fine. It just can't be exposed or flaking. Pretty sad huh...

Rust is very serious safety issue, not just cosmetic issue, I just learned this lesson first hand myself, THE HARD WAY. My car is has no visual rust on the exterior or interior, the underside looks excellent, with the exception of my rear bumper cover support, and one spot under the car at the location of the fuel filter. For some reason, the four steel lines ( 2 brake lines, 2 fuel lines) directly above the fuel filter are completely rusted out and the steel brake line going to my right rear wheel BLEW OUT, causing me to overshoot a traffic light by 20 feet. Fortunatly there were no other vehicals in front of me or else I would have rearended them because my brake pedal went to the floor. I was able to drive the car to a shopping to see what went wrong and that is where the rest of my brake fluid leaked out onto the pavement. So, fortunate for me, I have AAA membership, and called them to report the problem and they sent out a tow truck (took 45min for them to show), and had the car towed home.
So now I am in the process of repairing these Lousy rusted lines which happen the be in one of the hardest spots to repair because the rust is of course where there are lots of little bends and connections.

Wow, Dragon, you sure are having a hell of a time with that car.
I would say IF you can get out from under it, do so. The rim, that rust, exhaust, etc...
From the way you make it sound, I would have thought you were driving this sex machine seen once the video hits 50 seconds.... YouTube - "Rusty Chevrolet" by Da Yoopers
Now if THIS isn't your car, my apology...

BTW maybe this is not the place, well yeah it is, we all know what Pontiac really stands for...
