What is involved in removing the side moldings??? I know there are holes behind them so what do I use to fill those in? Also, will this require a paint job or are there ways to do this without?

Just so we are on the same page I attached a few pics of another car of mine I did this on...

It has been gone over countless times. Pull the moldings weld the holes shut, grind, sand paint.

You could fill the holes the lazy way like Bio did on his Impreza trunk lid. Use push fasteners and silicone. They're gonna be very visible though.

yeah, i wouldnt do that on the side of a car. its not bad on the trunk, but the side of the car would be gawdy.

Bio only did that on the chance that he decides to put the spoiler back on.

The Mazda looks much better without the molding, nice work man.

Personally I don't like GPs without molding though, something just looks off about them.
