    how do you remove the center brake light housing? i need to clean and paint it

    If this is for a 97-03, you have to remove your seats, remove the rear deck, remove all the insulation, and then you can pull the center brake light housing backwards to slide it out of the locks and then pick it up..


    Yes.. it's that hard to get to that housing.

    remove lower seat by pulling 2 tabs under the cushion in the front
    remove seat belt connectors
    remove the 2 bolts securing the upper seatback and lift seatback off
    remove c-pillar interior trim, just held in by clips (watch out for defrosters)
    slide rear deck out and there ya go!

    sounds easy right?

    you change change your rear speakers if you like while your at it
