    We need a thread just to get this **** organized. I figured I would start it up because I think we are all pretty unhappy with the eBay/Spyder ones. I know for one that I am making my own hopefully before GPMMM. So I want to get as much info compiled as I can.

    Let's get pictures, links to writeups, and links to sites with parts to make them.

    I know Drunkie has some good **** to contribute.

    I thought this might help for a writeup because it generally outlines retrofitting

    I've been thinking about doing another set of lights (Anybody who PMs me to call Dibs on my lights will get a picture of my ass, I'm only considering another set, but I may just fix these) cause I'll be honest, this retro isn't perfect, the right is cocked a little and the left one is a little to low and I don't have a way to adjust them.

    This is a really good forum to do some reading on
    HiDPlanet.com :: Index

    Also google searching "Retrofits" will get you a ton of different write ups on different vehicles to get you an idea of what you need.

    This is not a cheap adventure...This can be very expensive. One Grand Prix did his for about $200, while my setup ran me $650. So its all relative.

    Another thing to note, OEM Headlights are a ***** to crack open and to get them to reseal properly, when separating the headlight try not to break the plastic clips around the light that hold the lens. Cause the more you break, the more chance you have of having a leaking headlight.

    The after market ones they sell on ebay that are OEM lookalikes for $100 are so much easier to open and seal and the plastic clips on them are harder to break. They are actually of a better quality, as the lens does not fade either like our OEMs. Just the reflector is not the same as far as beam pattern goes.

    JB Stick weld will be your friend.

    Bump for the sake of people constantly asking about retrofitting.

    If you have anything further to contribute, please feel free to add and I will merge it into my original post (pictures included.)
