ok so i want to see how it look on the monte carlo. i'm digging it after the test fitment. the problem i'm running into are the outside trim edge need to trim or sand down to make it fit flush. the gp connector have 3 pins and the monte have 5 pins. what you guys think can the power side mirror be functional?

It honestly looks like the mirror belongs on that car. Looks great dude!

I bet you can cut your old harness of your Monte mirror and try splicing into the GP Mirror. Probably wouldn't take long to find out which wires will make what work ya know

Wait, does your monte have heated side view mirrors?

    GP's dont have that.

yes it have seated mirror. i know the gp doesn't have that option. on the gp the mirror control have a mini like joy stick and on the monte it's a round pad. the question is will it work same way? i hate to cut off the harness and find out it doesn't work. anybody know if the 04 plus gp side mirror control button is the same way as the monte? have pic?

cut off one end (the mirror side) and stick them into the cars connector to see if it works.

it looks good to me. I love monte carlos but the side mirrors always looked so small for that size car.

Do it! Whatever the hell it takes, DO IT!
    That looks amazing!
Pull it apart and see if you can swap the guts out. Keep the harness and hook up and reuse the housing and mirror. You may lose your heated mirrors though.
My Monte does not have heated mirrors and it hasn't really been needed. The Monte has 1 button where you just push on whichever side, top bottom, left or right to adjust them. Joystick in a Pontiac probably works the same way. The stick just takes up less space then the large button.
The mirror just snaps on like a lid on a bucket and you will have a little wire connection for the heater element. Just be careful prying in there. Good luck.

after seeing this post, I've decided to do the same to my 02 Monte. it just looks TOO GOOD, i need them. but if anyone has a set of 01-03 white GP mirrors, we can work out a deal.

Damn, looks good. I used to make the GP mirrors at a factory in Michigan. ( If you see a written 5 or 12 under the gasket, I made it) If you have a DMM, you can connect the original mirror, and test the wires to find out which wire controls which motion. The heaters typically have two wires that go the heater stuck on the back of the glass. Should just be a ground and +12v

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

seen this done before. looks great, since montes appear more bulky. i vote for painting them black.
