Film might help but the plexy glass is probably the best option

i have blazertech's, they've been on my car for 2 years, no problems. I have heard that glass fogs/lights will crack and break because of the heat from the bulb soaking into the glass lens and then breaking/cracking when getting hit with cold elements such as snow cold rain... etc. Since HID bulbs burn hotter, i wouldn't put them in a light with a glass lens at all.

Guess it's hard to tailgate when your car doesn't run.

No too hard to put them in just had to get a little creative. I want it to be dark to I can see if there are any differences in output.
I got the same ones and both mine are cracked from rocks. idk what to do.

So the blue fogs are going to be garbage because of cracking from hids and rocks? Probably why they're $30

Yea... how does an HID bulb break glass?.. I mean it gets a little warm... but my 55w kit isn't even as hot as my normal halogens were.. it's just that these are pure glass!

The autopia ones are awesome, I haven't had any problems with them, but the bolts are rusty now.. the halos don't work.. and you can't mount an HID bulb in there!

Better yet don't tailgate people, rocks don't have wings.

On another note I like the clear fogs listed here way more than the blue. I mean on a white, silver car the blue fogs would look good but I'm not rockin blue fogs on my red car.

Kinda wondering why you don't just buy 880 hid kit and relay harness from DDM and call it a day. Took all of 15 min to install, bulb fits into housing perfect and I've got almost 1/2 inch clearance from bulb tip and lens. I have plastic lenses in my 98, on initial burn I left them on for over 30 minutes not moving and they weren't even hot. Warm but definitely not melting anything.

To each his own, guess it all depends on what you like. Good info Naw

The H3's put out more light compared to my stock fog lights and that's halogen to halogen comparison. The fog lights on my car looked to have had HID's in them cause they were melted lol

Too many people have stories of them melting, so I'm just gonna upgrade, still looking for the right housing cause the blue wouldn't look good on my red car. Thinking of Projector fogs. who knows lol
