that blows. i would be cantacting a laywer asap and getting a case started. and make sure you get them for down time of not having a vehicle while the case is going on and make them get you a rental.

That sounds pretty shady. I would attack their business, no mercy. This agression will not stand man. This is one of the reasons i take my car to only one mechanic who i trust. I wish you all the luck getting your car back and or compensation for your loss.
Best, Lenny
Man that sucks. What shop was it? Like others said, get a lawyer.
Thank you guys, i've already spoken to a few lawyers, some say i have no case and some say I have STRONG case. I just got advice from like 3-4 lawyers, but My lawyer said they are responsible and he will digg it up and get everything i can for it.
I am not giving out any location of the shop here. sorry. But yea i've already contacted 3 of my local news stations via email to cover my story. I will do my best to get every penny out of them. The lawyer i have is really GOOD and he's a good friend of my dad. I think i got this one, and i am sooo sad inside out right now, i barely slept and ate anything.
I dont think any car will replace her, especially that fact she was stolen from me. I will try to update you guys when I get a chance.
Man, I'm so sorry to hear that. I cant imagine how much that sucks. When I dropped my Intrepid off to get the windows tinted (pretty mint car) I made it very clear to the man that if A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G. happened to my car, it would be settled between him, myself, and a woodchipper.
Without any documentation that you brought your car there and prove that they took delivery of it from you, not sure what kind of case you've got. I guess we'll see how it turns out, and hopefully it turns out in your favor.
And usually once your car gets stolen, even if you get it back it is just a reminder that it got stolen from you, ya know?
Good luck on you case. That happened to a friend of mine who dropped his car off at a body shop, after leaving the car for a few days he returned to the shop to get something out of it and found it was stolen. Wierd part is that after a week the cops found his car in an alley around the corner from the body shop stripped and blocked.
He had documentation and sued, but still, thats your car ya know? Sorry to hear about it man
Well I don't have any work order, but I'll tell you wat I do have....I have a police report and the employee admitting in accepting my keys and setting them on the counter. So its Their responsibility once the keys are on their hands. My lawyer said we will try going after their insurance company and if they don't wanna settle it that way, then I guess we will have to see them in court.
That's great! Hopefully they settle quickly, and you get your cash for the car. I would seriously not want it back. I've had cars broken into before, and I didn't like the feeling after the fact. Can't imagine what it would be like if the car got stolen and I got it back.
The biggest thing that sucks is there are thousands of these cars on Michigan roads. It wasn't until I got one of my own that I noticed how many are out there.
Hit them hard, and get what you deserve.
aww dude that blows, your car looked amazing in the pics, hope you get compensation for it atleast. id ruin that business, legally or not so legally id bring that bicth down
UPDATE:
Ok I got the police report and i was right, the cop was s dirty cop on their side. thats why they called them before i even got a chance to make a phone call. They knew the cop would help them.
EDIT: Anyways the guy was admitting in accepting my keys and setting it on the counter when he was telling the cop the story, but on the report, it says "the keys were set on the counter open to the public"
I already scheduled a phone call to speak with that fukin mother fukin ass hole dirty cop and tell him that the report is NOT complete. I have 2 witnesess that heard the employee sayin he took my keys and set them on the counter.
What can i do?

I don't even know where to begin. I'd ask your lawyer to look into it further. You have to have them schedule a phone call with the officer that took the report info? That's sucktacular. Did you have full coverage on the car? Call your insurance company too, let them know about the issue.
Im going to my lawyer to get an affadavit (sworn oath) that the police report needs to be changed and is wrong. I scheduled a phone call with the officer but he didnt call me. Im going to my lawyer today and talk to him more about everything. Since i dont have theft coverage on my insurance (im a dumbass..i know), really the police report is the only paper work i have.
The Police report is not complete and thats what i need to get straighten out so that I can have a stronger case.
I hope everything comes out my way because its just not fair for me to lose everything and i KNOW THEY DID IT. they probably thought i had full coverage. i dont know really the outcome, but i will try contacting surrounding businesses for camera's to see what I can get out of that.
I will keep you updated when i can. But please give me your advices. thanks.
