So I bought my GTX about a month ago and the headlights brackets are shot and I can't get them aimed even close and they have large amounts of condensation inside and nearly every bolt on the brackets is stripped out so they fit horribly.
I am looking to get some new headlights and I tend to have some trouble seeing at night so I want to get something that lights up the road pretty well while staying cheap on my college budget.
So I am wondering should I get
a.) HID's in some stock junkyard sourced headlight housings
    b.) projectors
c.) new stock smoked headlight housings

    or something totally different?

I had projectors on my last GP but I can't remember how well the light output was

Help would be greatly appreciated...I wanna order soon as possible

just buy a new stock set off ebay that already have clear corners on them. you can get black or chrome housings and they run $140-$160. hids would be another $50-60

I decided I am gonna try the stock headlights and then get HID's.
Is any ebay brand better than another when it comes to buying the stock headlights or are they all the same? It looks like they are all at about $70 but there are around 5 different brands

they are all pretty much the same. if the vendor is out of CA i'd buy from them. I've never had any issues buying headlights on ebay and they have all been California vendors.

I bought mine off rock auto and still have a lil bit of bounce to them. I will be switching the brackets (old oem)to see if this helps. I have the 8000k hid slim kits in my headlights and fogs and they are great.

Well I got some for $72 off ebay, they all looked the same to me so I just picked a set. I am gonna see if I like the output with just my current bulbs in them and if I don't then I'm switchin to HID's

    ^^

yes mine had some bounce to them as well on bumps. i just took some thick pcv valve rubber tubing and cut it to a length that i could stick it between the headlight and the metal headlight housing of the car. i have it at the inner part of the headlight (nearest to grill), on top of the headlight. theres a piece of metal that sticks out right there, above the headlight.

some ppl even take some weatherstripping and put it underneath the headlight, between it and the bumper.

if you buy the ebay grand prix headlights all you have to do is swap them to your factory GM brackets, that way they wont bounce

be careful with the mounting screws into the back of the ebay lights, they will strip out the hole, so you would need a #12 screw to grab it better, tapping it doesnt work

Post up after you get them installed and how the fit & finish is. I need to buy a set myself and trying to decide which way I want to go. I am leaning towards a stock set off ebay as well.

Will do...I actually remembered I should have a set of the stock brackets in my room so I might swap them if the ebay one's rattle too bad. They should hopefully be at my door any day now

Actually, I have black housings and the brackets are different than on my stock ones. I tried to do this but the capsules dont match up with the bolts.
