Got a hold of the rare 04-05 GTP Comp-G wheels in chrome clad back in the winter and just put them on the car last week. These rims are in mint condition. It finally stopped raining here so I took some pics. The tires are 225/55/17 Yokohama AVID H4-S.

In the next few weeks Im getting new brakes, possibly 12" upgrade, and painting my calipers red. Heres some pics as of today.

I am not lowered, but see no reason to lower the car. I just assumed they were rare because a lot of people seem to want them and can never find them.

i dont think those are comp-g wheels specifically. I see those on some of the GTPs... Comp G wheels are the more spokey wheels

I thought the ones he has are Comp-G GTP rims, and the spoke ones are just the normal Comp-G

i like it. i think a lower profile tire would have helped a little, maybe a 50 or a 45, but i do like the rims. GM could have done us a favor and offered the wheels in 18's. i haven't seen many aftermarket wheels that would look better than the torque stars in 18s.

Yea your right.. I just found this on Wiki:

A Competition Group (Comp-G) package was available for the GTP that included red painted brake calipers (same brakes as the 'standard' GTP), sport tuned suspension, heads-up display (also in GT2 model), 4 speed automatic transmission with paddle-style TAPShift, StabiliTrak dynamic control system, 3.29 axle ratio, performance tires and Magnasteer II. Also, a 10 spoke light weight wheel was standard with the Comp-G package but could be 'upgraded' to the GTP optional wheel.

So, the ten spoke rim is probably the stock Comp-G and these rims are the optional GTP rim.

Thanks nawarkk for the wiki. Yes these wheels were an available option on the Comp-G. I remember reading that in the brochure when my dad got his 05. These wheels are the very top of the line wheel for 04-05. My style wheel also was available as painted silver also.

Thanks poil336 and sportred04 for your compliments. I appreciate it!

It looks very nice. Be warned that they are notorious for chrome flaking, so keep them clean/waxed as much as possible or they will quickly deteriorate.

Thanks for the heads up. These wheels are as close to mint as youll get. You can bet Ill keep them that way. This car does not get driven in the winter so thats another bonus.

They are amazing. Well, I just pulled off my old wheels with Goodyear Eagle LS's, so I think anything besides the Goodyears will be a nice difference. But yeah the Yokes are virtually silent on the road. They grip very well in the dry and wet pavement. I love them and recommend them.
