If I decide to get some new exhaust, something with a nice sound but no too loud what would be suggessted? I dont want to spend a fortune! I had a nice Durango R/T that had nice stock exhaust that sounded awesome, thats what I want. Do I still need to buy some nice tips to go on it? Im just not sure how it works as far as getting a new exhaust with some sound. Do I buy just the mufflers or the whole exhaust system? Any and all advice, pics and sound clips would be great. Again Im not rich so something in a budget would be great!

Was just gonna buy new tips but Im second guessing....

whole exhaust is not needed, cause it won't up hp that much..Just mufflers will do...search tha site & peep some sound clips on youtube..

What sounds good to one, may sound like rasp to others..

i have the slp catback ( powerflow) and it sounds pretty good but im still stock on the mannys and dp, so i cant really speculate on the sound with those.

but honestly i regret doing it, the mechanic i went to would only do new and said i couldnt stip a used system from a junk yard. he was going to buy a factory replacement which would have cost more than the slp, being excited at the time i jumped on the opportunity quickly.

but now i regret doin it i could have saved a boat load ( $600 roughly not including labor) and could have done something to net some hp. oh and i dont evan like the look of the tips, i think stock looks better

so all in all i guess that im saying if your looking for a sound difference just do some mufflers, and put some pretty tips on there too

but theres nothing wrong with stock

ive got magnaflow mufflers with 04+ SE tips. I got them for $112 shipped from greyhound performance on EBay.

there is a vid on youtube of my soundclip. Search "modded grand prix gt magnaflow" or "grand prix gt magnaflow" and look for the vid that has the silver read end of my car with the GT emblem on the trunk.. i can post the link later if you cannot find it

im running magnaflows i had new piping ran it came out to 300 total
with out res it was a bit louder and in your face, i had a res put in cause my wife complained and now its mild but still sounds good

find some nice 3" dual tips and it will look sweet
Plus magnaflows can be polished up real nice

borla was my other choice and I would have bought them if they were cheap than the magnaflows. I havent heard anything bad about em, yet, when have you ever heard anything bad about Borla?
