Hi. I was wondering if anyone here has painted their stock triangular 5 spoke gt alloys to match their car. Was considering painting my wheels to match my car in the spring, but would like to hear your comments and see if anyone has any pics.

    Triangular 5-spoke?
There is the snow-flake and the torque star available on an 02 GT (guessing by your name and post that is what you own).
Snow-flake is a 3-spoke with smaller spokes in-between and you should just get rid of them. You'd be better off driving on your rotors than on those things.
Torque stars are 5-spoke rims where the spokes sort of curve back.

In either case, painting those to match the car would probably look pretty bad. Imo...

Ok. Thanks for the replies. They are the snowflake wheels. I don't mind the styling of them, but wouldn't mind a set of 5 (star) or 6 spoke alloys.

    You mean these?:

They only look decent when polished/painted. I want some 5 spokes so bad.

I think a set of gunmetal 5 spokes would look nice.

The modas look nice. Relatively inexpensive too. Am thinking of getting a 16 inch wheel though. Will consider a 17 if i can get a good deal on wheels/tires.

I'm not a huge fan of OEM Torque Stars. Everyone and their dog has them around here. I want to have some wheels that will help my car look a bit different than the other ones around here. That is why I was wondering about painting the wheels. If i was to get them painted it would be through a bodyshop or a buddy that does autobody work though instead of spray painting them.

Take the wheels off & ride on those rotors!

That or go purchase a nice set of rims in a color you like. Painted rims=
