alright I am at a complete loss about my hid's on my 04 gt2. the previous owner had them installed so im not 100% sure on the details. I know that they are 55w. but this is the thing. my right and left sides are different colors. my driver side hid looks to be about a 4300 while my passenger side looks to be about a 5 maybe a 6. and then with my fogs my driver side is either 5 or 6 while my passenger is 4300. Me being the perfectionist that i am this drives me CRAZY. you can tell it looks different and it looks flat out stupid having two different color headlights. How the heck did this happen? is it some how the bulbs got messed up or what... please help. Sorry about the messed up picture but you can obviously tell the difference.

Do you still feel this way? Anyone else have an opinion on this? I have to buy a set of H1's for my retrofits and want to make sure it's justified to spend 4x what I did on my old ones from DDM that I never really had any problems with other than a ballast that didn't always want to fire up right away. A flick of the headlight switch fixed this, but it was annoying. I spent good money on my retrofits, I don't want to cheap on on the hid kit. As long as it's justifiable.

If I had the money, I would def get the TRS package. My DDM are just a little too quirky and being able to see is a priority.
I have not ever come across a cross word about TRS bulbs or ballasts. TRSs customer service is supposed to be exemplary and that is comforting to know... unlike DDM.

    ^ yup.

Trs has the best aftermarket ballast you can get..yea they cost more then most places but the quality and performance it's worth if.

OEM ballast are better but those are also more expensive.

Might as well get the trs..I too said okay ill try these cheap ones..ebay, ddm, and there was always something wrong. Said eff it n bout my trs hid kit n never had a problem since n it shows , he true color of the bulbs. Definitely worth not having the headache. I too said I spent money on retrofits for them not to work with others, so why not get a good kit too n feel better bout them.

Yes, I still feel the same way about them. They are the best ones I've owned. They fire up really nice and don't need as long to warm up as other brands. I would also recommend Diode Dynamics HIDs. They are cheaper than TRS and they offer a lifetime warranty, which TRS doesn't offer. I put Diode Dynamics HIDs in my car.

Have some issues maybe someone can chime in as to what actually happened. I recently, in the Summer of '13 purchased the VVME High/Lo kit for my 01 as well as a kit for my fogs and it seems that none of my lights work anymore except one. My one fog started going on and off for a few months and finally it keeled over and died, and both my driver side headlight and fog went out within days of eachother. All the kits were 35W and I was advised that no relay harness was needed to get these things going. My question is if it's possible that I mangled the wires in my stock harness so that it blew out all of my ballasts in my fogs and headlights? My headlights are now back to halogens and they work fine, my issue is should I even bother replacing the fog light ballasts and the one driver one that went out? Was it my fault for not using the relay harness?

As owner of Classy's Retrofits LLC, I feel there needs to be a new thread made for all lighting opponents for the Pontiac Grand Prix, everything from the glove compartment bulb to full blown retrofitted headlights. If anyone vouches an opposing reason, feel free to tell me. Thanks!

    I agree with Shia LaBeouf.

Now, there are already several threads on this. Maybe merge them? Or make one big happy thread?

I thought about that also but quality sets seem to be more expensive then a $150 hid kit from the retrofit source. I've seen some cheaper types of led kits on Amazon with great reviews but they are pretty new reviews. I wanna see reviews that are at least 3 years old so I know the kit lasts.

LED's are ok. In our housings they will be a waste of time, unless you just want the look of LED.
